DVC resort stores, do they have....

Does anyone know if Thimbles & Threads, or any of the stores at DVC resorts carry champagne and champagne flutes? If so, do you know if the flutes are glass or plastic?

Also, anyway to buy and store them there, without spending the $99 year long membership for an owners locker?

The Screen Door at BW had a few bottles of champagne but I didn't notice the label. We wanted plastic wine glasses but didn't find any - or plastic flutes. We saw a pair of "collectible" glass flutes not far from the grocery section that were pricey. I don't remember the exact price, but it was the kind of thing that you pick up, look at the price on the bottom and think, "No way". I didn't see any cake toppers, but you could call and ask. Disney would probably prefer to sell you the topper with cake under it.

I don't know if they'd store anything for you. I sort of doubt it. You could ask, but I doubt they'd do for any extended time.

Apparently not. Not for the cake I want, at least that's what I interrupted from the unbelievable run around I got from GF bakery. I specifically asked her if we could do the mickey/minnie bride & groom cake topper, and she said she didn't know what I was referring to! I asked her if I bought it, (hence trying to find one), and gave it to her, would she place it on the cake (10 inch cake for our anniversary), she said I could place it on the cake myself when the cake arrived - there's a nice touch.

So it may be a funny thing to ask, but I'm not laughing because if you heard this conversation, you'd be !

Any info on getting these at disney would be appreciated.

DeeCee735 - I'm sorry you've had trouble with the topper. I KNOW I've seen Mickey-Minnie wedding toppers. (Have you checked Ebay?) You may have more luck on the Weddings board. Or you might try calling the GF again and talking to someone else. I wouldn't think it would be difficult for them to at least put a matching Minnie and Mickey set on a cake if they couldn't find a bride/groom topper.

You might be able to get the champagne and flutes from the wine store at either France or Germany in EPCOT. I think they also have the flutes at the Arribas store in DTD where you can get things engraved. If all else fails pack them in your luggage or ship them ahead. The Disney Florist may also have something with the items you need.

My co-worker just got back from WDW last week and saw cake toppers. She thought they were at the Marketplace huge Disney Store.

I've seen the Cinderella cake topper (DD would love this one day) at DHS in the shop as you exit the Magic of Disney Animation, and I've also seen it at DAK at the little shop by the tip board that has collectables. I saw some beautiful wine glasses in the shop at AKL as well, almost bought them. Could you call the merchandise #?
