DVC Resort Academy Awards – Category: Best Transportation Options

I voted BLT & VGC and see them basically as a tie. I love visiting Wilderness Lodge (so the boat rocks!) and riding the monorail in general, plus the option to walk to MK. BUT, I also love being able to walk into DCA and easily get to DD & DL. Transportation was a significant player in the resorts I chose to buy at!

As for BCV & BWL, I've never tried the walk to E or DHS but I thought those boats were a tad slow; lots of stops + I prefer the monorail. I also never stayed at either of those, but I have stayed at the "host" hotels for BLT & VGC so i thought it was more fair to vote someplace I had personal experience with!

I voted BLT, BCV and Boardwalk as they all have multiple transport options and are within walking distance of at least one major park.

Voted for BLT, but would actually change my vote!

1: GCV, being able to walk to all the parks from the resort has to win this hands down (you can even ride the monorail into Disneyland just for fun)!

2: BWV (Epcot/Hollywood Studios proximity)

3: BCV (Epcot/Hollywood Studios proximity)

4: BLT (Magic Kingdom proximity)

VGC is my choice for the walk right into the parks. Can't get any better than that, other than the view right into CA

When I voted, I excluded walking as transportation. I would have voted VGC if I included walking.
I voted SSR, as I can take a boat, or bus, to DTD and another bus to anyplace, which, in my mind, is more options than any other resort.

Yes, I excluded walking as transportation as well - I took into consideration: buses, boats, monorails. I voted: BLT, SSR, AKV as my top three. BLT and SSR have the easiest access by bus to all the parks and all the resorts via the MK or DTD bus stops. To me, the fact that AKV doesn't share it's buses with 1, 2 or 3 other resorts put it at 3rd for me.

Personally, being able to walk to a park would fall under "Best Location" not transportation - JMHO. Actually, I think it's title "Best Proximity to Theme Parks"

7) AKV – 5.52%
8) VGC – 4.91%

BLT is winning this one, followed by BWV and BCV.

Again, I'm surprised that VGC is at the bottom, since you can walk to both DLR parks, but most DisBoard DVC members probably haven't experienced it.
