DVC Resort Academy Awards – Category: Best Proximity to Theme Parks

Vote for the DVC resort(s) which, in your personal opinion, should win in the category of “Best Proximity to Theme Parks”.

I have excluded the two offsite DVC resorts from consideration in this poll. I would suggest voting for your top one to three choices in this category, and then optionally adding a reply outlining your vote and the reason(s) behind your vote.

1) VGC
2) BLT

AKV for Animal Kingdom

BCV for Epcot

BWV for Studios

I almost jumped on BLT having just stayed there and walking to the MK several times during our stay was heaven. But then I remembered the BWV is within
reasonable walking distance to 2 parks, and that beats out BLT in my book.

My vote is as follows:

1.) VGC

2.) BLT

3.) BCV

All of these have great park locations but VGC wins it by a nose!

1) VGC - has to be first. Nothing else quite like it. I have rode GRR and then jumped in the pool and then rode again on a fast pass. It's like the pool is part of the ride.
2) BLT - just cuz I like the MK.
3) BCV & BWV - it is cool to able to walk to two parks.

BWV & BCV - walk or boat to Epcot & Studios

Hands down BLT and GCV! MK is my favorite park at WDW.

For anyone who didn't voted VGC, you probably have never been to The Disneyland Resort. It is a one minute walk to DL, and ZERO walk to California Adventure... Virtually inside the park, with it's own private park entrance at the hotel.

I completely forgot about VGC but I voted for BCV because of it's close proximity to two parks. I loved the easy walk back to our room after Illuminations.

VGC - 5 minutes WALKING door to park (DCA), and door to DTD.

My top three choices would be:

1) VGC
2) BLT
3) BCV

I voted VGC because you can walk to both parks, and because you essentially back up to DCA.

BLT because you can walk to the MK and view Wishes from the resort.

BCV because you are a short walk into Epcot. BWV is my 4th choice.

I guess VWL would be my 5th choice with the boat ride to the MK.

AKV, SSR and OKW don't offer any easy theme park access.

VGC. Hands down. Can't beat the walk to either park.

Most of those on here have not been to DLR, and don't know that VGC is a much shorter walk to the parks than any other DVC resort. At VGC you walk into DCA from the resort, and a few minutes more to a monorail into DL, or about 10 minutes walk to DL's front gate.
