Hi, all. Happy Thanksgiving. My family and I really want to attend MVMCP next December. We need to rent a two bedroom DVC villa and are aware that that category gets snapped up pretty quickly. I can make a reservation 11 months out, but we won’t know when the party dates are at that point. Would you just reserve for the first week in December and hope there ‘s a party in there somewhere or wait until the dates are announced, historically in June, and try to rent points then?

Thanks!

There will be a MVMCP sometime that week for sure. The party starts in early November, usually about a week after Halloween, and extends till a couple days before Christmas Eve.

Just watch in spring for the dates release. I suggest you decide which date quickly, because early December--really, all of December--is very popular.

Renting points for that time of year may be quite a challenge. December is much in demand by owners for their own stays. There are some who own resorts they use primarily as rentals. You may score that week if not particular which DVC resort.

I would book at 11 months and include as much of the following as possible: Tuesday night, Thursday night, Sunday night, and maybe a Friday night. Sun/Tues/Thurs have been the primary 'party nights' for years across MVMCP and MNSSHP. Some Friday nights also have parties. Early December regularly has 3-4 party nights per week.

If you're going for a full week, you should have plenty of options to choose from and can pick one that works for your touring/travel schedule.

Thanks! These answers are super helpful. I’m willing to be flexible about which resort and I suppose if there are no two-bedrooms that week, we could reserve two resort rooms instead, but we really like the flexibility of having a kitchen.

It’s amazing to have the washer and dryer in the room too!

I looove to do laundry on vacation. Weird like that.

BTW, thanks for posting your question. I was looking for the same info.
If it’s a choice between doing laundry on vacation and having leave WDW to go shop for something because an important item of clothing got dirty. I would rather do laundry every time.
