DVC rescheduling rules - what’s the latest?

With how much the rules have changed lately I wanted to consult the boards about the options before braving the hours long wait on hold on the phone (chat unavailable). I rented out GCV points to friends in Oct. Now they are asking what their options for moving it are. I used more than 50% points for borrowing before that rule changed. Can I modify it to later in spring as long as I don’t need to borrow more points? Can I cancel the reservation and still get my 2021 points out back into that use year? Then I can bank 2020s (sept use year) and rebook for next October. Thanks everyone.

Yes to all, as of today. You can rebook next spring for them with what you have, provided it gets booked before any of the borrowed points are returned.

If they go back, then you are held to the new 50% rule. So, if the ideal situation for them is to go next October, call today, cancel, and get those borrowed points returned before they change the rule!
