Hi everyone -

Thanks in advance for any advice!

My husband and I are looking at purchasing a Beach Club DVC through a resale company. It seems as if most people use the Timeshare Store (dvc-resales.com) but I've also looked at Resales DVC (www.**********.com) and by Resale (www.dvcbyresale.com). Some timeshare sites don't seem to have a clear grasp on the points system, so I'm ignoring those.

Does anyone have recommendations ie which place to use or (more importantly) who not to use? I may be paranoid but I am a bit worried about an internet scam.

Thanks!!!

Sarah (and Rob)

no worries about scams from TTS. they do a great job in my experience and everything i've heard.

i've heard great things about jaki and co. (Resales DVC) but have little experience with them.

I and many other members have used Jaki Apetz and **** ***** at resales dvc. They are great to deal with, very professional, know the DVC product well since they have been selling DVC for 15+ years, and they know the process. Great with communication and very low key people.

They have my vote

I think that the 3 main ones you listed have been used by members here on the DIS and are reputable.

I have used the TSS to both buy and sell. It was nothing but a wonderful experience! I highly recommend them!

We've used TTS to purchase three resales. We had great communication....no preassure. :thumbsup2We will/would use them again and again and again.....:goodvibes

We used Resales DVC (Jaki and ****) and we were more than pleased! We were specifically looking for BWV, 150 points, March or April UY. We were firm on what we wanted, as it works best for our family's needs. We also had time to wait for our ideal contract because this was a year ago and our first time using our DVC membership is going to be next summer! They found it for us within a few days! Actually, at first I said March UY only, then a few days later I called back and said it could also be April. I literally got a call back 10 minutes later that they had the exact thing we were looking for, and we bought it! They are very professional and know their stuff. They also steer you in the right direction as to what will pass ROFR. I highly recommend them.

Awesome! I knew I could count on disboards (couldn't have planned my wedding without the wedding forum :lmao: )!

Thanks for the fabulous input!!

We also went through Jaki and **** at ********** and were very pleased. They made the process very easy and I would highly recommend them!

Awesome advice!!!

We got quick and great replies with TSS and ****/Jaki. We actually are placing a bid through **** on a BCV - we were going to wait until later this fall but decided we might close in time to use the DVC for January 2010 rather than staying at Yacht Club as we are currently planning.

I can shortly start obsessing over the ROFR. :lmao:

Another big thumbs-up :thumbsup2 for Jaki & **** of Resales DVC!

I'm a big fan of TTS, but I've never heard anything but good feedback about the two you mention.

GMAC (now called something else to protect the guilty, no doubt) is another story, however. [ETA - Just to clarify, some have had good feedback, others not at all.]

We used Jaki and **** to buy our BWV resale and they were fabulous! Kept us informed throughout the process!

Feel free to email The Timeshare Store, Inc.® (sales@dvcstore.com) with your first and last name and we will be sure to add you to the distribution list. You will receive an e-mail when we have new listings. Of course, if you have any questions we would be happy to assist as well.

Best of luck to you and your search.

Jason
