Does anyone know where I can get a DVC membership resale contact?

Lots of different brokers out there.

www.dvcstore.com is one I have used in the past several times.

www.dvcresalemarket.com is a popular one and part of World of DVC, the boards new sponsor.

I used https://www.fidelityresales.com/disney-timeshares-listings, but as mentioned there are many out there! I haven't heard any horror stories about any of the major ones. Find the one with the right contract for you.

DVC Resale Market is the largest and has a slick website with good filtering and sorting and a ton of tools that will give you a good sense of the market, but honestly who you buy from is probably a little less important than who you sell with.

Welcome to the boards, Derek! You and I have spoken a couple of times through the chat feature, and you have been very helpful.

I got one contract through DVC Resale Market, and it is definitely the easiest to navigate and has the biggest inventory and a lot of good resources. The other I bought through is apparently not a DIS approved site, but I had a fantastic experience with them as well.

My spouse and I were looking to explore the DVC resale market. We have done Aulani a few times and the kids and spouse love it and it has become an annual thing now, minus 2020. What decisions would guide to to buy a resale versus a new?

Resale buyers lose out on discounts primarily at WDW - and primarily related to access to annual pass discounts.

Resale buyers of most resorts* are not permitted to book Riviera (and most likely any new DVC resorts that come along - not a big deal now but if you still own after 2041, the number of restricted resorts will likely jump.)

Resale buyers save a lot of money upfront.

Some resale buyers at Aulani can save on annual dues if they buy a subsidized contract.

*Resale buyers at Riviera are not permitted to book anything but Riviera.
