Dvc resale companies

Most of the ones people complain about can’t be mentioned here so I’m not sure you’ll get much in the way of helpful answers, but my general take is that they are all roughly the same, and the title company you pick (not the broker picks, you pick) is about 10X more important to you’re overall quality of experience.

We got our Poly resale through the DVC Store and they were great. Quick, efficient, answered all my emails and questions promptly so really can’t ask for more. I can’t say I have a ton of experience with this process but they seemed really professional and made me feel comfortable through everything 😌

Major ones are DVCRM, www.dvcstore.com, Fidelity, www.*************.com and I know it's going to get censored like it always does but www.****************.com

Remember - you send your Deposit to the Escrow, not the Website or Broker. Which is a good time to mention, Buyer can usually pick the Escrow (see Closing Times thread for some options) since that is usually a Buyer fee. And Deposits are negotiable ;) Some Escrows allow deposits by credit card (you might want the points) - personally, I like wiring the deposit if an Escrow I've not used before, emotionally feels like I'm "testing" the wire transfer with a smaller amount since most Escrows require the full closing balance by wire. But that's just me, terrified of wires.

In vague terms, theres a number of DVC sites that have violated this sites terms of service in some way or otherwise upset the people who run the site. I don’t think we’re supposed to discuss specifics.

Various reasons best to not talk about it.

Just make sure whoever you are doing business with is using a good title company (or pick the title company yourself) and do a background search on them here or google to make sure they are likely reputable.

I will saw though its best to avoid the companies that have DVC posted for prices well below the ROFR thread. If their listed contracts are $15-$20 per point less just assume its a headache you dont want on your first DVC contract you buy.

Since this is a privately owned site, the owners make decisions on the rules. Many businesses can be discussed here and all one needs to do is post the actual link to it and let the filter do its job.

The reasons for the decisions are not known by us, including mods. If the site shows filtered, then no information about it can be discussed. Here are the current rules:

Thread 'PLEASE post a link to any business or site you wish to mention or discuss'

We used https://dvcsales.com/ to purchase our VGC contract this year. We liked the online offer tool so we didn't have to wait for the broker to email the sellers. We used it to go back and forth until we came to an agreement. We would've used who ever had the contract we wanted with UY and number of points. It's the title & escrow company that you need to pick the right one.

We used https://www.fidelityrealestate.com/ for both our recent resale purchases, which were our first, and were very happy. They were quick to respond and very helpful. I agree that the escrow & title company are the most important. We were recommended to one by them and were very lucky that it is a highly recommended one here on the site. All in all it took around a month for both from start to finish so we can't complain!
