Hello! We are "renting" my BIL points. We are booked for a partial stay in May 2012 we just booked earlier this week we really wanted AKV Savannah studio. We were able to get it for partial stay and doing the rest at SSR.

My question is I can check the reseverations online? How can we check waitlist? We obviously can't call and check daily as I have seen others do. While my BIL was nice and gave us all of his info to do the reservation we now they will not talk to us not being the member.

Now is there a way to tell if the wait list has gone through by checking the status on just our reservations? Are there any tips and tricks we can take advantage of? Last question is can we possibly get bumped when we get to the hotel?

My husband is not nearly as diligent as me when it comes to keeping on top of these things and will think I am nuts if I tell him calling in daily to check the waitlist....

I am fine with SSR as we have stayed there before. We are really psyched about being able to get into AKV even for part of our stay. We are staying Wed-Wed....SO FINGERS CROSSED something will open up. I know there are cash rooms available and hoping this would work out in our favor, but after reading I see that isn't always the case. Thanks in advance for all your help and insight! I have been a lurker to this forum for years checking in on the ins and outs of anything Disney when we have questions! :thumbsup2

if you have BILs login info and PW, you can check on dvcmember.com. Waitlist will be reflected there.

You can have up to two waitlists, I would suggest having a second waitlist at AKV for a non-savannah view studio. Or, see if there is a Jambo Studio available? At least I would have a second waitlist at AKV for another category of studio. Easier to move down the hall then to a different resort. Also, there are so many spots to see animals that having a Savannah view is great, but without it you still see as many animals as you want.

Since you have a split stay, you should have two different reservation confirmation numbers. You can check the reservations without involving MS or your BIL using this link:

www.MyDisneyReservation.com/DVC

When/If the waitlist comes through, the system will not be able to "find" at least one of the reservations. That's when you call your BIL and ask him to check to see if the waitlist came through. There will be a new reservation number.

Good luck!
