DVC Rentals on RCI's Website???

I am a DVC owner and visited RCI's website yesterday. Much to my surprise, I found rentals of DVC inventory featured on the front page of the RCI website for $1,088 per week! This is very concerning considering my maintenance fees are higher than this. Has anyone tried to book one of these weeks?

Nevermind--found my own answer. Ouch--it's for a one week stay!!!!

It's not "for" $1088 a week. It's "starting at".

My upcoming February stay is a full week at OKW in Magic Season. OKW rentals for the same week at RCI are $1,827 for a studio, $2,700 for a 1BR, and $4,482 for a 2BR. RCI collects FL hotel tax at 12.5%. That's for reservations requiring 109, 218, or 296 points in the 2009 chart. The cheapest one per point, the 1BR, is still almost $14/point.

the prices also vary with the season. It is a little less than Disney would charge.

I saw this last night, the ad is very misleading. When I clicked on, I saw RCI was charging a pretty penny. I was going to book one at the ad price.

also remember that this is for one week, I don't know how many points the OP has, but I know I get at least 17 nights a year on my points(depending on size room and time of year), so although my MF may be higher than the starting price of $1088, I'm getting more than 7 nights out of 285 points a year.
