DVC Rental Store Park Tickets savings- worth it?

We have booked rooms for our upcoming Jan 2024 trip through the DVC rental store, and we just got an email offering us 10% off park tickets if we buy through their site. Has anyone here ever done this? Should we have any reservations about taking advantage of this promotion? In the past we've always bought tickets directly through Disney so I'm suspicious of buying through a third party....can anyone confirm if it works just as well as purchasing park tickets directly?

Purchasing via an authorized reseller works just as well as from Disney and can often save money. Touring Plans has a discount calculator you can use to compare prices at various sites. Be sure they all include sales tax when comparing - some don’t show it until checkout!

We bought our tickets via this sale and it was a nice savings on top of the normal savings. It beat all other places I looked. I highly recommend it.

This is a late reply, but I hope an answer to this question will still help others in the future. I just bought my tickets through DVC Rental Store for the first time (Oct 1, 2024). My Costco Citi credit card charge came through as "Lodging", which should count towards the 3% reward for eligible travel.

BTW, the DVC RS discount was better than every other 3rd party retailer I researched (Und. Tourist, AAA, WorkingAdvantage, Boardwalk Ticketing, and Getawaytoday). E-tickets arrived within an hour and were accurate. No issues at all linking tickets to MyDisneyExperience. I would buy again!

I never buy tickets through Disney. They are always the most expensive option.

Buying through an authorized third party carries no risk and can save significant money.

You do you. I almost always buy my tickets through Disney, using gift cards bought with various credit card and store offers at discounts of 10% minimum, sometimes much higher. I usually find the price better than using 3rd party with smaller discounts.

I’ve seen a lot of people use the DVC rental store for tickets, and it seems pretty legit! The 10% discount is a nice perk, and usually, as long as the third-party site is reputable, it should work just like buying from Disney. Just make sure they’re authorized sellers, and check the fine print to ensure the tickets don’t have any weird restrictions. If you're feeling unsure, maybe give Disney a quick call to verify it’s all good.
