DVC rental point value

We purchased in 2000 @ $65pp. At that time rentals were $10pp. Now, 2005, retail purchase is $98pp.... rentals still around $10pp.

Does anyone rent for more than $10?

We do we will always get 12.00 a point or higher depending on the avenue we choose to rent them. We will sometimes reserv a prime week and rent it on e bay and get anywhere from 15-17 or so we have even seen some go for as high as 22 a point doing it that way.

Agree with CharlesTD. Lots of members rent for more than $10 /point. There are a few I know of that routinely get $13 and up.

Most of those who get more than $13 / point do not use the DIS to find customers.

A few months back, I saw someone renting points for 7 dollars per point. I assumed that they were distressed. I have seen reservations on ebay, as a matter of fact, that is how I obtained my first DVC stay, though a person on ebay. At that time, I paid 12.50 per point. I also have seen the reservations at the Boardwalk and Beach club going for 800 to 900 per 5 night weekday stay. Pretty steep per point, but, still a good deal for the renter over rack rates. I say charge what you want and good luck.
