Hi planning a girls food and wine 3night trip in october.

Thinking of renting BCV or BWV
But also discovered Dolphin Super Bowl special for Mass & NY residents pay 2nights and 3rd free. have to book by 2/29

Going to Poly in a couple weeks gonna get AP so not sure what deals they will have for fall AP

I will get TIW so won't need dining plan, and can do Mears for airport transfer 34$ RT

Any input would be appreciated

One big thing to consider is how are you getting from the airport to the resort because Swan and Dolphin don't have access to Disney's Magic Express :rolleyes1

It's very hard to get DVC reservations during the Food and Wine Festival even for DVC members unless they book early.
We are DVC members(BWV) but stay at the Dolphin fairly often because weekend pts at the villas are pretty high. Anything you can get in the Epcot area is great so if you cannot get a DVC rental, go for the Swan or Dolphin.

I've posted on the rent/trade board (recently had to sell my DVC BLT :)due to divorce so am familiar with the difficulties of booking. So if I get a reply I'll book if not will call Dolphin and book. Like you said can't go wrong in the Epcot area.

BCV and BWV are tough to get into. I'd have a plan b for DVC.

I don't see how you can go wrong either way. I stayed at the Dolphin last August and loved it. The only negative for me was that I couldn't charge things to my room or have packages sent back.
I am renting DVC points this coming trip (Thanksgiving) and was able to get a split stay for BCV & AKV. If I can get Thanksgiving, you should be able to get F&W.
Price-wise since I only needed a studio, it was actually about 600 less to rent DVC points for me. But then again, I am not eligible for the Superbowl discount even though I cheered on the Giants.

I do 2 girls trips a year, and we've done DVC, S/D and regular rooms. How many are going? We LOVE S/D, and if you have a larger group they do have suites that are huge, and very affordable (compared to 1-2BR villas). The suites there however do not have a full kitchen or washer & dryer, so keep that in mind. We didn't miss either of those when staying in a suite there.

We've done town cars, cabs & Mears from MCO to S/D.

Has policy changed because we have always been able to send packages back to the resort. We pick them up in the Daisy’s Garden gift shop.

You can have packages sent back to the S/D. You just have to pick them up in your respective gift shop. They will not deliver to your room as you have to show your room key in order to receive the package.

Actually just 3 of us. We booked the Dolphin king room with pull out sofa. Will probably do Mears. I will have TIW card so no worries about not gtting dining plan, I'm sure it will come in handy for our cocktails:yay:
We paid for 2nights 179 +25 for extra adult +14 resort fee then third night free.
So excited haven't been without kids since the 90's, I won't tell them till I get home.
