It's such a big resort will we even be able to feel the constrained inventory at this point? I wasn't around when Saratoga Springs went through it's total refurbishment so I don't know how a large resort's inventory is affected by refurbishment.

There's a way to see how many rooms are available for booking looking at the web code. If you go into the website early before the booking opens for a new day, you can check if inventory is decreasing from the prior day. As far as I'm aware, this hasn't happened yet.

I stayed at BLT earlier this month. CM at front desk told me the refurbishment will happen in vertical sections, not necessarily floor by floor.

That makes sense if, as reported elsewhere, they’re going to re-route the plumbing, especially in the studios. I’m excited to see what they do, as those studios were always kind of wonky. Not small per se, but a huge amount of space is wasted in the non-sleeping areas.

Haven't seen any new info to change my thoughts from September (https://www.disboards.com/threads/t...owners-lovers-group-3-0.3952273/post-65738061):

• Could start January (or I suppose even sooner, the start date is fuzzy to me)
• I think they're going to start at the top floors and work their way down, typically 1 floor at a time
• Grand Villas are going to be offline for an extended period of time as they're two floors
• Floor 1 is seemingly offline in April
• If things go smoothly, could be fully complete in May-ish

Looks like CCV is getting a ref rub starting in May! Sure hope they either add a second bed or a Murphy bed to the studios, I really dislike the “queen” and couch they currently have.

Seems like that has been the general direction the refurbs have gone, so I am also hopeful they get rid of the sofa bed and move to a Murphy! Super excited about this news

Still no AKV refurb

Atleast they have filed the permits. We have stayed at Kidani Village twice in the last year or so and felt the rooms still looked good,

It appeared this article said they weren't sure if it was for the rooms or the resort area itself. If it's rooms, it also didn't say it was for the DVC rooms or the hotel side.

The article said CCV which is DVC. There was no mention of WL and it pointed out that all amenities at the resort would be available. Sure sounds like a room refurb to me.

We own at CCV but enjoy staying in studios at AKL. Those sofa beds are awful! I slept in one last year so my mom and daughter could share the real bed and the mattress was so thin.

Interesting that even Pop Century is falling into the 7/14 refurb rule. It feels quick but way better than letting the rooms get stale.

It had a refresh in 2017. Based on the 7 year cycle, the full refurbishment should have been 2024.

I am an owner at AKV & just used most of 3 years worth of my AKV points to book a week long stay in a GV in Jambo for October 2025 & I’m watching like a hawk for news of any Jambo DVC refurb.. I don’t care whether we end up in a pre or post refurb GV as long as 11 months from now we are staying in one of the six Jambo GVs.

I am an owner at AKV & just used most of 3 years worth of my AKV points to book a week long stay in a GV in Jambo for October 2025 & I’m watching like a hawk for news of any Jambo DVC refurb.. I don’t care whether we end up in a pre or post refurb GV as long as 11 months from now we are staying in one of the six Jambo GVs.

The nice thing about the Jambo GV’s is that they are at the end of each pillar, so if there is a refurb going on, I would think the impact would be minimal. They are on the top floor, so exposure is the rooms below you.
