I am an owner at AKV & just used most of 3 years worth of my AKV points to book a week long stay in a GV in Jambo for October 2025 & I’m watching like a hawk for news of any Jambo DVC refurb.. I don’t care whether we end up in a pre or post refurb GV as long as 11 months from now we are staying in one of the six Jambo GVs.

Same but for a week in September for our 25th wedding anniversary. Those grand villas have been on my husband’s wish list since we bought our AKV contract he will be very sad if we either a. Get bumped to Kidani or b. They do the refurb and remove the pool table before our stay

Question about room refurbishments - is Disney usually pretty accurate with their timelines?

We only go to Disney occasionally and may try renting points next time. We were considering a trip in October 2025 but I just started researching and read that 2 of our possible resorts, CCV and BLT, will undergo refurbishment until September 2025. Knowing that, would you book a non refundable DVC point rental trip for October 2025?

Some have taken longer because unforeseen issues were discovered during the refurbishment. But generally, they are fairly accurate.

Also, they do blocks of rooms at a time. So there will always be rooms available for occupancy during the refurbishment.

If you like CCV you may consider BRV which is also at the wilderness lodge. It has finished it's refurb and shares all of the same amenities that come at CCV.
