Can they keep a package for us before we check in-like Netgrocer-if I tell them to expect it?

Can I still eliminate a day on the Disney passes like at other resorts?

What can be done for free at these places? What requires a fee/deposit?

What is the spending limit on the room card?
Any other suggestions on other questions I might have?-This will be my first visit home/honeymoon(but with the kids from previous marriages,14 and 12). At OKW, is there room service-or other suggestions for bkft?

Yes.

Yes. But realize that the break-even point on a WDW Annual Pass is typically 8 park days. If you plan on more than that in the next 365 days, the AP is the way to go.

You'll have to be a little more specific. What sorts of things are you interested in?

Aside from the ownership issue, DVC resorts are just like any other Disney hotel. Same bus service. Same Early Entry priviledges. Same free access to workout facilities.

The only thing that comes to mind is that DVC members have free access to movie rentals while at the resort.

What is the spending limit on the room card?

There is no limit. Although your credit card is actually charged when you reach $1500. Anything under that and they will simply accumulate the dollars until you check out.

No room service. We always make a stop at the grocery store to pick up cereal, milk, juice, fruit, waffles, etc. to make our own breakfast in the room. They have many of these items available for purchase at the resort, but you'll pay 2x normal grocery store prices.

Olivia's is open for breakfast. But if you're looking for another type of experience, you'll have to venture outside the resort.

One great "free" activity at OKW, BWV and SSR is the community hall...a great place for kids and parents to hang out, play board games, video games, etc. There are sometimes free scheduled activities/crafts there as well.

SSR also has the Turf Club where you can play pool and watch something on the big screen. I believe there is a small bar and snacks available (for a fee, of course).

tjkraz is correct there is no limit on charges except of course up to the limit on your credit card. They do not wait for you to reach $1500 like tjkraz suggests what they really do is charge or put a hold on the card for $1500 when you check in so they can be sure you have the credit available. Then at the end of you stay unknown to most people they charge your account for the amount you charged and release the original 1500. This never shows on your card but if you were to call you would find a tempory hold on your card for $1500. This is done at all hotels that I know of, but people never know or realize it because the original hold is gone in a couple of days.

Free:

Things like use of the exercise room, community hall activities, DVD movies can be checked-out, Swimming (including pool hopping), Tennis courts, Volleyball, Basketball.

Fees:

Bicycle rentals, Boat rentals.

Available activities vary by resort.

While they almost always allow you drop drop the first and/or last day on a UMP, they are not required to and the written rules actually say you must get all including the day of check in and check out.
