DVC Pros - Question about banked pts on new add-on

We are closing on a re-sale contract with 25 banked '07 pts plus 25 '08 pts. It has an April use year. We have another OKW contract, from which we have booked our trip for this November. Here's the question. We won't be able to make another trip before our "banked" pts on the new contract expire. Is there a way that we can have MS use the banked pts from the new contract toward our current reservation, and put the the other pts back into our '08 allotment for our original contract? Hope this doesn't sound too confusing.
I just don't want to lose those points. Otherwise, we'll probably end up renting them out to someone.

The answer is probably. But, they will have to cancel your current reservation in order to do it. So I would make sure that there is availability during your November trip before you commit down this path. Also, will your resale contract have the same contract number as your OKW one? If not, then I think that if you do move some of the nights to your resale contract, then you may have to check out and then check back in.

You'd have to use up your once a year transfer to put those 25 points into on of your existing contracts. Unless you can get a single night or two with exactly 25 points (unless you want to go ahead and use some of the current year points), you'll need to use that transfer (unless you already did). If you try to replace existing points with these banked points, you'll have to cancel the existing reservation or part of it and then rebook. If there is a waiting list for those nights, you'll move to the bottom of the waitlist and the person at the top will get your nights.

Oops, forget every thing I already wrote about transferring those banked points. You can't transfer banked points. You'll have to transfer points from your existing contract - if and only if - you are able to rebook those nights using the points.
