DVC Promotions...

Hi guys,

my husband and I are thinking of buying into DVC, and that promotion of 8$ back a point with a referral seems like a really good deal...

However, we haven't been watching out for DVC promotions very long, so could you please tell me if it is an actual good deal, and if DVC promotions happen on a regular basis?

I think it is a good deal. I remember a similar promotion that took place last year so I think Disney does offer it periodically. The problem is once this one ends, there is no way of knowing if or when they will offer it again. I wouldn't let this offer pass me by if you really want to buy in to DVC. Hope this helps.

If you are buying into AKV then its $8 off a point. If you consider SSR it is $10 off a point. In addition, you will also get developer points (I think 160). If you have a Disney Visa and had it before 9/1/07, you can charge your deposit and get $500 reward dollars. Offer expires on the Disney Visa promotion 11/30/07.

So, if you take advantage of all this, this is a very good promotion. When I bought it was a choice of the $$$ off OR the developer points, but you will get BOTH at this point in time.

I thought that promo was only for add ons for existing members and that the $8 off and $10 off was for new members?

No it is for new buys as well.
