DVC Preview Center at SSR

I have heard that the DVC center at SSR is quite impressive. We have all the points we need now (recently did an add on) so we don't want to buy. Still, could we go in there to have look around? Is there actually anything in there for us to see or is it just a sales center? Just curious about whats in there and was thinking we might stroll in during our next trip.

In the past members could go on a self guided tour of the model rooms at SSR between 5 and 7 in the evening. Before heading over to the rooms, we stopped at the sales center to find out where the model rooms were. If they are still offering the self guided tours you can do the same thing. If you ask to look around when you are in the sales center, I bet they would let you.

My DW and I visited the sales center in Feb 2005. I was impressed with the setup. Just past the sales check-in counter is a lobby with a high ceiling. There are murals on the walls that start about 8 feet high. My DW pointed out that there were fiber optics embedded in the murals. A sort of tinkerbell light would pass from mural to mural and wind up as the fireworks in Disney.
We were really impressed with the attention to detail.

It's worth a trip just to see the water art (I hesitate to call it a fountain) behind the reception desk. Plus they offer refreshments!

Makes me wonder what will become of this place when SSR sells out and they make a new one.

Be careful, though. When we saw how gorgeous the grand villa was, we could barely stop ourselves from adding on!

It is a beautiful place. We toured and bought in July 05. The models they show are wonderful!! The preview center itself is very nice. Our DD loved the kids room.

I agree. It is quite impressive. Better than even the early days at OKW.
