DVC Presentation: Thoughts before and after becoming a DVC Member / DISboarder

I stand corrected, you are absolutely correct. Thank you.

In fact it does apply to current owners under one condition. The work-around is to bring adult non-members or a non-member family unit. If you do, then you get 4 unrestricted FPs for everyone in your party! We got 36 FPs.

Yup! Brought my DD for a $75 gift card and 4 FPS each::though ours did have restrictions

Hmm..$75 for her and we ended up as a RIV owner!

I did, and saved even more with a subsidized contract!

Yeah, luckily with my small 75-point "blue card compliance contract" I can still stay a week in a 1-BR every other year during adventure season. .........

Where are you staying a week in a 1 bedroom with 75 points? Or even every other year? I can't find any one bedroom for a week at any DVC resort for 150 points or less in Adventure season anywhere. What did I misunderstand?

Sorry, 5-night “week” at 31 pts/night for 1-BR standard view = 155 pts. (I would have to pay DVC $95 for the extra 5pts.)

I'm not often offended, however your #5 is offensive to me. I used to be in high end sales and once considered being a DVC guide, and I never once thought about male, female, body type, etc being a "type" of sales person or that Disney would judge me on what I looked like and not my talent. You made an observation and you note it is not "scientific", however I really don't understand why you found it necessary to describe your guides' physical appearance at all, let alone compare one to the other and state their actual names and locations. I'm sorry, but that was unacceptable and they both deserve an apology.

I apologize for having offended you. It certainly was not my intention.

That’s cool, they really were observations and not judgements. I saw that they were good, non-pushy salesmen and shared their similar physical appearance and personality because I am always looking for patterns. A PP debunked my silly theory shortly after. As you may know, I am not an employee of Disney and am not sure what Disney has to do with this.
I'm sorry, but that was unacceptable and they both deserve an apology.
Geoffrey and Dan, if you are reading this and were offended, please accept my ernest apology.

We attended a presentation at the Disneyland Hotel recently, but no Gift Card. Just some FPs. Our sales person was pushing for Aulani and mentioned Copper Creek $220 a few times and said Aulani was a better deal. May have mentioned Riviera in passing but was not trying to push that at all or explain how it hasn't opened yet, etc etc etc. It was fun, got a string bag, 2 sodas, cookies, the Dream book which we proudly display like our family room is a showroom. I just remember the cool calculator App. Just $245 p/month (for ah-hum 10years) for 100points! When we left, we were like, if we didn't own 715pts already and have our blue card, we'd totally buy huh, we were like Yeah.

Oh yeah, forgot about the little "string bag" and Dream Book! We took the string bag and left the book (too heavy). As for the DGC, they only give it to non-members (back before we joined, it was $150 in June 2019 at Aulani).
