DVC presentation: can anybody get invited?

I'm possibly interested in joining the DVC. I'm definitely interested in getting the casual meal vouchers some people get for attending the presentation.

How do I get invited? Can I participate even if DH is home in Illinois?

Anyone can attend a DVC presentation. If you are in WDW, just stop by one of the DVC booths or call the DVC TN from your resort.

As far as I know, they are no longer handing out meal vouchers (or any type of gift) for attending a presentation. There are currently some incentives for purchasing a DVC membership at BCV. Take a look at the DVC board if you want/need more details.
