DVC Points - Use at Disney Land?

Can I use Disney Vacation club points, at the Grand Californian Villas in DL?

Right now, we have points that will expire in May. We need to use them. We are debating going to DL this year.... this answer, may seal the deal.

My parent's are supposed to go to WDW in May, but if they don't, they'll give us the points....which we are hoping to use at DL

as long as you are within 7 months (as a nonowner) and there is availability - yes.

Yes you can use your points at the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian, you can't use them anymore in the regular hotel portion. You can also use points at the Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel.

Make sure you check your dates. I had a friend that had points that were expiring in May and he tried to book at the VGC and couldn't get the dates he wanted. I just called to get a studio on May 22nd and they told me they only had 1 room left in the villas and it was a 1 bedroom. I took it and they said they had no rooms left after I booked that. Disneyland is in spring break right now, and starting in May it is pretty much summer time, and there are only 50 rooms there, it is a much smaller DVC property than anything at WDW.
