We just returned from the 4 night Sept 7th Dream cruise and had a great time. We haven't sailed in several years and forgot just how wonderful it was. We stayed in the Concierge level in a one bedroom (Cat T, room 12526). Today, I called DVC to inquire about another cruise next year. The point cost for the same number of people, same cabin during the same week is 32% higher than than the trip we just went on. 453 points this year, 601 points next year. She said there was a similar increase from 2014 to 2015. OUCH! Are the cash values going up like this too or is it just point values?

I almost posted this in the DVC thread but didn't see allot of discussion regarding this type of thing.

Thanks

I don't know the answer to your question, however we are dvc members. We used points for two off peak cruises, one in early December and one late September.
Looking into future cruises, I'm now limited to peak times/school schedules. We wouldn't have enough points to do this so after reading these boards, I looked into renting our points. After two weeks of signing an agreement with David's, we have enough money to pay our annual dues. All future rental point income from David's will go towards our next cruise. You may want to explore that option. Good luck!

I'm not sure the cash prices match the 32% increase. We did points on 2 cruises, and only for 1 person each time. Decided that paying cash was a much better way to go, but we totally get the convenience of just using the points!
