DVC Point Rental Questions!

Over the past couple days of exploration of the site (as you might have noticed, I'm a new DISer) I've noticed a lot of people talking about renting DVC points, and what a savings this is when staying at deluxe hotel. I don't know a whole lot about DVC to begin with, and have no idea how point rentals work. Anyone want to give an explanation? I'm curious how this works! Thanks!

If you have more questions about renting points, you can post on the Member Services forum ( http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=89 ) and they can help you further. Just don't post any specifics like dates or resort preferences because that could be construed as "advertising" for a renter.
