Do you get a new DVC planning book (the one with all the glossy pictures and points info) every year? When do they usually come out?

Thanks.

are you talking about the one with the purple (or is it blue.??) hardcover.. we just bought in august and our book doesnt have Contemporary pictures.. I hope we get a new one with the tree House pictures too..

YES!! We've only gotten 2 so far. I think in most past years they came out in September or October, but we got last year's planning book in January! (3months late, not 10 months early.)

I think the hard bound blue book is the "Dream" book. The 2007-2008 planner had a picture of all of the resorts (pre-AKV), Mickey Mouse, a white picket fence, and a rabbit [i.e., animal] peering in. The 2008-2009 planner has Mickey in a hot air balloon with Pluto picking out cool locations like London, New York, and overlooking Cinderella Castle. I sure hope those are clues for future DVC locations.

from what i understand you dont just "get" these each year. I rec'd my first one when I purchased SSR years ago and just rec'd the new one when i added on to AKL. Other than that I dont recall receiving anything else.

anyone know..............:confused3

Umm, I'm wondering now.

When we toured we got a hardcover book. I bought resale last year and got a nice soft cover book mailed in the fall which had up to date info (AKV was new and that was included).

I was hoping I would get a new book every year, considering the new additions - BLT, THV, etc and any changes in outside use of points.

I wonder if I will get one.

The hardcover Dream Book is what you receive when you first inquire about DVC membership. It is more of a promotional sales tool for DVC so existing members have no need to receive this every year.

The DVC Vacation Planner is sent out each year to members, so YES you will receive these annually. The difference is that this Vacation Planner will have the current year point requirements for all vacations including Interval, Concierge, Adventure, World Passport and Disney Cruise Lines. It is not just a sales tool. I just don't remember when this is sent out, but I think we received ours around December/January.

We receive a day planner/calender type thing each year (for the past 2 or 3). I think these are a holiday gift of some sort to members.

We have not puchased or added on for 7 years...a gift is my only explanation.
