For example - we bought 10 day park hoppers, and used our room key to put the charge on our room/credit card... room keys do say DVC on them. We were not given the DVC discount.. and frankly, I didn't expect it either...(not after reading the boards!!)

But they aren't getting mine! NOBODY gets to use my member card but ME!crisi said:And those DO require a blue member card, plus ID.
SNIP: It may be that MS starts saying "if your brother and SIL are using your points and want the discount, have them take YOUR member card."

As I recall from 6-2005, they also asked for our drivers licenses when I bought our AP's. They wanted to make sure that we lived in the same house.crisi said:And those DO require a blue member card, plus ID.
Given the current changes and desire on Disney's part to enforce policy, I wouldn't be surprised if CMs started asking for the blue card and it became more of the exception that the room key alone will work. As I recall, Disney does say they extend some member perks to guests, none to renters (and can't tell they difference), but they don't itemize out which. It may be that MS starts saying "if your brother and SIL are using your points and want the discount, have them take YOUR member card."
