DVC peeps 1bdr worth it?

Would you spend the extra money on a 1bdr over a studio? There are 4 of us my kids are young 6 and 8. They won't mind a sleeper sofa. My main reason is the washer and dryer. When your spending 10 days it seems so nice to have a washer and dryer. Being able to pack light and not having to go laundry room. Untill this year at the poly I had never spent 10 days in a hotel{we usually rent a beach house some where for long vacations}.I loved the poly, but kept thinking how nice it would be to have a washer, dryer and kitchen. Please make me feel better about spending that extra money. I cant rent points beacause of the unrefundable aspect. My brother in law has stage 3 cancer and if something happened with him I would have to postpone. I guess I just want somebody to tell me its worth the extra money so I won't feel so guilty.

For shorter trips we are happy in the studio - but for our longer trips - 7 or more days - we definitely like to be in 1BR - the washer dryer is so nice to have but also the extra space - on a trip that long there is always someone who needs a break from everyone else and the extra room will give you that!!

You may never want to go back to a studio after you spend your vacation in a one bedroom! In addition to the convenience of the laundry, there's the convenience and savings of the full kitchen. You will love the space!

Well, we never tried a studio with the 4 of us but we LOVE a 1BR. It's so nice that the kids can go to sleep and DH and I can have some alone time in the living room. We had a hotel room the night before we went to Disney since it was so snowy before we flew out, we stayed by airport, and our 2 year old WOULD NOT go to sleep because she was so excited we were all there in one room together and NO ONE got any sleep, so we will definitley stick with 1BR and upgrade to 2BR when we can!

Yes I think it is definately worth the extra $ for a 1 Bdrm vs a Stuidio

Separate Sitting/Sleeping Area
2 TV/DVD Living Rm
Jacuzzi
More Sq Footage so your not falling over each other

We had 4 in a Studio last year in OKW and while it was lovely , this year we opted for a 1 bdrm

Thanks for you replys. Our first trip was in May Deluxe poly now a 1 bdr I'm really getting spoiled. I think I will be book the 1 bdr or I will spend the whole vacation wishing I was in a 1 bdr. Thanks
