My DS's are 4 and 6 and we are making our first purchase at BCV.
My only regret is that we didnt buy earlier as I have deprived my children of their babyhood at DVC!:p

We have visited BC/YC for the last 2 years and have always wanted to stay there but it was always so expensive for 1 room.

DVC is our happy medium.

I'm also curious about childrens ages in how many of your children still love going to the Resorts after so many years.
I think my boys will always enjoy DVC vacations as there is just so much for them to do at every age.

I know that if all the parks closed tomorrow (heaven forbid) I would still be happy relaxing and hanging at BCV for a week!

My oldest graduated from college and the youngest was in his second year at MSU when we bought in. We would have loved to buy in sooner, but the cost of college was what held us back until now.

The youngest still has another year after this one to complete his degree (seems NO one gets out after 4 yrs anymore!), so I still have another $20,000 to pay next year and then all my extra (HA) cash can go to add ons!

We bought DVC in 2000 when DS was a senior and DD was a sophomore in high school. Now DS is going into his 3rd year in college and DD is an incoming freshman. Thanks to DVC we still get to have our big summer vacation every year and it's still affordable since the room is already paid for.

Unfortunately, I can't vote in this poll. We have been trying to have kids, but no luck yet... :(

Are oldest daughter was 1 year old and the second daughter was still in the planning stages when we bought in.
We are pleased that we purchased when they were so young. That way it's paid off by the time they start school.

Our kids were 24 and 12 when we bought in early 1999.

We'd vote in that category bbowers! DH and I are childfree. We want all those Disney vacations to ourselves! LOL - the irony is we've taken no trips just by ourselves since we bought, although we did it all the time before DVC. This December will be our first trip without extended family -- it's just so fun to impress them with DVC!

My kids (2 sons) were 37 and 35 when I bought in, but each had 2 daughters, now 1 has 3 making for 5 granddaughters, that's what I bought for. We have already made 2 trips home and have 3 trips planned for 2004. Taking the grandchildren to Disney is the best thing I do each year, and I hope for many years to come.
I just hope they enjoy it when my sons get to take their grandchildren.

Mine were 4 and 5. Boy would I love to have had DVC when they were younger and napped in the afternoon. The kids could have been in thier own room napping and I wouldn't have had to sit in a dark room trying not to make to much noise.

Sounds like you need a DVC vacation!! VWL and HH are very fertile destinations. Two of our three are truly Disney kids   ;) ;)

We didn't have any children when we first bought points at bcv and vwl, but now we have a vwl baby on the way - so we bought some points at saratoga since they will be 50 year.

So yeah, vwl is a fertility zone.

We bought three or four years ago after kids all left home. So far, we've taken trips for just the two of us and a couple with some of the grandkids. Would love to take our kids too (grandkids' parents) but schedules just haven't worked out yet.

My daughters were 12 & 10 when we bought a couple of years ago.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know...shoulda' bought sooner! :smooth:

Mine were 21 and 17. I was pregnant with my first when I went to Disney for the first time. That was in 1973. I guess it is just in her blood as well as my son's. It just took a few years for Disney to figure out they needed a timeshare.

With our kids (4) we actually covered 3 catagories..oldest was 7, we had a 5, 4 and your youngest was 1.....But I wish we had done it sooner....

My DS were 5 and 8 when we bought. It's a perfect age for WDW. They're now heading into those teen years. :( I hope they maintain their enthusiasm for WDW...

Bought in May this year. Daughters ar 2 1/2 and 5. Should have bought sooner.
Oldest has been to WDW 6 times and plus once to Disneyland, youngest has been 4 times.

Our kids were 20 and 23. DS has no interest in WDW; DD has a mild interest. Our DVC purchase was basically just for us. The kids weren't even taken into consideration, as they have little or no interest. :bounce:
