DVC paid off...finally!

We just paid off our DVC and I am so happy I just had to share. Long story short - we made the impulsive purchase on a cruise a few years ago with the intention to pay it off within a year. Well, one house, two surprise! kiddos and one less income later (due to surpise kiddos) and we have finally paid it off. Just 40 something years to enjoy now. Best purchase we have ever made.

A question about paying off your loan. After you make your final payment, do you receive anything in the mail saying the loan is paid off, etc. Reason I ask is, we paid off ours last year but never heard anything from DVC at all other than the payment stopped being drafted each month. I guess I would have thought we would have heard something from them.

Yes, at the very least you should receive a satisfaction of mortgage notice. These however are sent only periodically, so it may take a (long) while to receive it. I just recently received one on one of my contracts. You can check with member accounting.
