Does anyone else think it's stupid that the DVC Member Services is only open till 7:30 ET? What about us West Coasters who need to call after work? I guess they don't appreciate our business.

Sorry - really frustrated!:confused3

Can you perform your intended transaction via the Member website instead?

You can call them at 6AM (PT) when they open up (9AM ET). And they are open on Sat and Sun 9-5:30 (ET).

MS also opens at 9:00am (ET) and is open on Saturday and Sunday in addition to the member website being available 24 hours each day. If there is something where time is of the essence perhaps you can call before you go to work in the morning if you are unable to manage what you need online.

When we joined in 2001 they were open 9-5 or 5:30 weekdays with I think one later maybe 7:30 closing.....now there open on weekends as well and until 7:30..plus we can book online now.....since your west coast are you able to call prior to work or maybe book online........we do pretty much everything online I can't remember the last time we called

When it comes to DVC, west coasters will always get the short end of the stick. Weaker resort discounts, weaker perks, less availability, and less value in terms of point to room values, etc.

Weaker perks? One DVC perk I love at DL is 10% off almost all food & merchandise.

West coast DVC Members get exactly the same perks as any other DVC Member - totally unrelated to your time zone.

I'll trade you DVC member hours for Disney Store online hours . Disney Store updates their inventory at 12am PST, 3am EST. my husband collects some low edition size stuff that comes online and we have to get up at 3am in order to get a shot at it. I'd rather have the West Coast time for that :lmao:.

I'm sorry the member hours fall during your work hours. I'm sure it's very frustrating especially when you're looking for a certain reservation. Is there anyway you can call on your lunch break?

What about members in the UK? Member services doesn't open until around 2 in the afternoon here....right in the middle of the work day....so for that hard to get reservation (at the 7 month point - using one time only points) it is difficult to call (as most employers don't allow international calls).

But the hours are what they are....they aren't perfect for everyone but you make it work the best you can. Imagine what 24 hour opening would cost us in dues.

And for me, my students come in right at 9:00 so I can't call prior to starting my day but have to wait until after work.

So, I do t think there would be any way to address perfect hours for all the time zones that DVC members live in. The good piece now is that at with initial bookings, we have the option to do it 24 hours a day online.
