Checking in from Cincinnati. We own at VWL and our next trip is March 2011 at BWV. I went to Ohio State and have two boys currently enrolled there. We used to drive (13 hours 45 minutes door to door) but now we fly Delta as I can't wait to get there!

Hey there! I'm from Lima...working downtown right now, walked around the block last week for lunch at Kewpee. We aren't owners yet, but I'm still hopeful. We're attending the D2D events next weekend at Woodfield Mall. Wahoo!

I grew up in Lima and am so jealous of your lunch at the Kewpee. The one downtown is the only one I will eat at when I go back to bean town.

Hi everyone!

Another family from Westerville (C-bus suburb) checking in! Both of us are OSU grads so the scarlet and grey runs deep.

We just got back from a split stay with AKV and BLT. That was the first time at BLT and I have to say, it may have spoiled me forever!
We are scheduled for a split AKV and Beach Club in October for Food & Wine.

We almost always fly from Columbus to Orlando or Tampa (we have family there) using Southwest, occasionally will also fly Delta.

This was a great idea!

Dover OH checking in. We are originally from western New York. We just bought into the DVC last year and have only one trip home to Kidani Village. Next up is a split stay between Kidani Village and Bay Lake Tower

Hello Everyone,

We're from Akron and have been members since April 09 (SSR). We made our first trip home in January and stayed at Kidani Village. Wow was it awesome. Our next trip is scheduled for October. Can't come soon enough.

WOW, Buckeye nation rules!! We are going nuts trying to pack everything for a trip with a 1yr old and a 5 yr old. We normally drive by decided to try driving after we took up a full line at the airport checkin.

We will let everyone know what worked with our drive down and what didn't. Current plan is to leave around 4am and drive till 5-6pm leaving a 4-5 hour drive the second day.

Driving is more stressfull starting our than flying but no matter what we are heading to Disney in three days

I am from Ottoville and my wife is from Pandora
We live in Columbus Grove
Those are all in Putnam county (near Lima)

I went to Ohio State (Engineering)
University of Findlay (MBA)

DW went to University of Findlay for Physical Therapy

I work in Whirlpool in Findlay and DW works as a PT in the area at nursing homes.

More discussion about Kewpee to come, but I hear the boat horn.... time to go to the MK!

We are from Southwest Ohio, just north of the Cincinnati area...We have been coming to WDW for a long time, but just joined DVC last August (BLT) and had our 1st visit "home" for Christmas of 2009- it was fabulous! We stayed at BWV 1 night- Boardwalk view! Saw the fireworks over the Epcot ball from our balcony! Then spent a week at AKV Kidani SV and loved it even more! We are going back for Thanksgiving 2010 with family and friends, we have 3 condos reserved at Kidani again... BLT was not available so many next year we will get to stay where we own..

I love all things Disney and dream of retiring to the world someday!

btw, my son is 14 and an 8th grade football giant- he is already almost 6 ft and a BIG guy! He is the offensive line! His dream is to play one day for OHIO STATE!

Uniontown here!! We have been members since 07. AKV is our home! We love it! DH loves wearing his OSU gear WDW because he always gets a shout out O-H.. DS 8 got one on our last trip and he knew exactly what to do I-O.. We are raising him right!

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to put our name on this thread!! We are OKW members since 2004 and absolutely love it! We live in Kettering, another suburb of Dayton. Our last trip was in 2008 when when we took a trip down for a cruise on the Disney Wonder and a short OKW stay. Our next planned trips are this December, we'll be down for New Years Eve (our 2nd trip for this), and we're booked on the Dream next June!!!

But as a family of 6 our flying days are long behind us. We've driven down our last 2-3 trips (they all blend together), but we normally leave about 2-3am and drive straight through to Knoxville before stopping for gas. Then Lunch in Atlanta, and dinner somewhere over the FL border before getting to WDW anytime between 8-10pm depending on the traffic load!!! It makes for a long day, but we manage. Being able to make it down in 1 day, I joke with my wife that we should make more short weekend stays!! haha... She doesn't seem like that idea?? haha...

Lil grumpy, I see your a transplant to OHIO, welcome!
Grew up in Clarksburg ( Cindy Noble) and Frankfort and went to Adena. My Brother went to school with Urbans wife and his brother in law coaches Adena's football team, dont think he gets any help from Urban though. I may have seen you in the area, we just moved up to Grove city this passed year from Chilli.

We're going to be there Oct 2-9. We are reserved at Kidani again, but are on the waitlist for Boardwalk (I really doubt we'll get it). We're supposed to be going with some friends also, but they may have to back out. If they do we may try and add on a couple more days. This will be our first trip for MNSSHP so we're really looking forward to it.
