DVC # of people per room

Something that always seems to get lost in these discussions is what was one of the main selling points of DVC for us...

You don't HAVE to crowd into a small room with DVC! We used to hate coming back from a busy day and all being in one room. DH and I couldn't watch TV if we wanted the kids to go to sleep. Oh yeah, and once the kids got to a certain age (we have one girl and one boy), we had to be creative with our sleeping arrangements. I wouldn't want to go back to those days for anything.

Even though we are "only" a family of four we have rarely gotten anything smaller than a 2BR. The kids have their own space and their own bathroom and DH and I have ours. DH usuallly likes to get up early and have coffee, while checking his email and voicemail for work; he can do that without disturbing the rest of the family.

Even when it's just DH and me, we still love the 1BR for the extra amenities it provides. We'll get a studio every now and then, but for the "big" trips, it's a 2BR for us!!

I was actually schcked when I inquired with MS on the availability of an additional studio for a 5th family member, and the MS rep stated, its no problem we can just put 5 in a studio, as long as we provide the additional bedding needed.

A year ago, they were very strict when listing occupants not to exceed 4.

I think this issue must have been challenged by members, because the rules for occupancy have become more liberal for families of 5.

and not more than 5.
