DVC Mike live from VWL/Poly (12/6-12/18/08)

We arrived at Walt Disney world around Noon on Saturday, Dec 6. We checked in at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge around noon. Room was ready shortly before 4pm. Got a 1-BR on the 5th floor on the lake side. We'll be here for 10 nights and then move over to the Poly for 2 nights before we head back home.

We're doing MVMCP on Tuesday night as well as La Nouba on Friday night, and we're dining at Victoria & Alberts. We'll also be dining at The Wave, Citricos, Artist Point, Liberty Tree Tavern, Whispering Canyon Cafe, California Grill, Kona Cafe, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Narcoossee’s, Ohana, and doing the Spirit of Aloha Luau.

We ate at The Wave last night, and were pleasantly surprised. The decor was nice and the food was interesting, as well as pretty good. I think we'll go back.

We'll be at the Annual Meeting on Tuesday and the Merry Mixer on Friday.

Have a great trip. I noticed there were no swimmers in the pool, is it a bit cool for that? We stayed at VWL in February, what a great resort! Enjoy.

Yesterday the pool was packed with kids. Today it is a bit cooler and breezy and there were very few people at the pool.

I left the VWL the day you arrived. We had a great week weatherwise and it was a great trip. The Candlelight Processional was very moving as always and we had Dr. John Sinclair conducting and I really do enjoy the way he conducts. If you are doing the Christmas Tree swap you may have even gotten the tree I had in my villa for the week. I packed it up on Friday and left it for the next guest who checked in on Saturday 12/6. Anyway - enjoy the VWL and the parks and I hope you get excellent weather.

Have a wonderful trip, Mike! I fell in love with VWL when we were there this summer, and I can't imagine how beautiful it is decorated for Christmas.

If you guys happen to be over by the THVs for any reason, will you snap a few pics? Haven't seen any recently, and am just curious how they are coming along.

We went to the Grand Floridian last night for dinner at Citricos. We haven't been there since May 2007. I'm glad we went back. It was a great meal. I had the Swordfish and it was fantastic!

Mike, i am sure that you are like a kid in a candy store while at the lodge, We arrive on Sunday Dec 14. Save some nice weather for us.
