DVC Mike Live from BLT (8/14-8/16/09)

[DVC Mike]

We arrived at Bay Lake Tower today, and all I can say is "Wow!". I really love the views. This trip, we got a lake view room. They gave us a room on the 11th floor right in the middle of the "C", so it overlooks both the pool and Bay Lake.

This trip is a park-free trip; that's right, we won't be going to any parks. We'll spend most of our time at BLT, with the exception of some meals at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Kidani Village.

We'll soon be off to dinner at the California Grill, and hope to catch the fireworks from the Top of the World lounge tonight.

we just came back from a few nights there - be sure to hit the lounge for some refreshments I can't believe your picture of the fountain has the fountain off - I don't remember it EVER being off while we were there! How can you be 10 minutes walking distance for MK and not go in DH and I went there 5 times during our 3 day stay Have a great time, and yes the views are AWESOME. I just wish there was some way to sprinkle some pixie dust on that darn parking lot that comes with the MK view.

Have a great time! And since you won't be in the parks, you'll have time to write one of your awesome trip reports as you go so the rest of us can get even more excited about our first visits! Thanks DVC Mike - expecting FULL reports...we just purchased more points on our cruise and won't be able to see our 'home' till next July! (HOPEFULLY our 11th month window will allow us to stay there!)....have a wonderful trip. I could also spend a few days in Disney and not do the parks (I guess because we do parks every year).
