When will we get a card or any information from Disney showing we are members? It has been over a month now.

I have a trip in June and want to do Dive Quest with a discount but need the card, or can I just give them my member number?

We are also going big, we are a party of 6!!! A two bedroom, then over to family suites at ASMu for the weekend.

A friend of mine, while my guest at OKW last year, was able to get the the discount by virtue of his room key saying DVC Member (and yes, they were aware that he was not the member.) However, if you need a member card for any reason, you can pick up a temporary card at the sales center at SSR. As to when your permanent cards will arrive, it seems to be pretty sporatic They are printed by an outsourced company.

I don't know when you will receive your card - but you don't really need it now, anyway. When you call tomake the reservation, you can just give them your member number.

If you don't have your card before your trip (pretty sure you'll need it then), you can go over to the Sales Center and someone there can print a temporary one for you. Congrats on the trip - sounds like lots of fun!

My advice is to call MS and ask the CM about your card - best to wait until late aftenoon or Thursday evening with a non-urgent question. You'll get more attention than if yo call first thing in themorning when everyone calling is trying to make reservations.

Since MS is open this afternoon, you can give them a call. IMO, there's no harm in checking. Sometimes glitches happen.
At the very least, you'll be able to confirm that all is well with the process.

I closed the end of January and have already received my membership cards and membership guide books came yesterday. I would call MS to check on these items.

When we purchased directly from Disney, our temporary cards came very quickly. It's the permanent plastic card that can take several months.

If you purchased resale without going through Disney, I understand it can sometimes take quite a while to get into the system.

Either way, I'd give them a call to check up on it.

As previously mentioned, you can also get a temporary card printed out at the sales center (located at Saratoga Springs). My roommate lost his wallet the week before our trip last year. We were buying annual passes with the discount, and needed the ID to pick them up. Fortunately, we were staying at SSR so we were right there. It only took about 10 minutes.

I lost my membership card and requested a new one via e-mail. That worked!

I think we passed ROFR on the same day. We got our cards about a month ago. I wonder what is taking so long.

We got home from Boarder X races yesterday and there was our welcome kit but still no cards. Dang!

I wanted to get our new AP passes at a renewal rate, Dive quest and also just discounts in general. I plan to call mid day today and see if they can help me out.

We are excited that we did pull together our June trip. It was all waiting on airfares and we have them for SIX people! It will be the first time that my DH get to go out at nite because we have a babysitter with us. We plan to go to the La' Nouba and one nite at Brown Derby as we tried last time and DS was just so bad we had to leave early.

I have not a single regret of buying this DVC.

You should have temp cards with your welcome kit(with the 07-08 planner, the tote and info on dvcmember.com login in stuff). I got mine in Dec with all the stuff and they were good through mid March.

Don't worry I know some people on here are already back from their first trip home before the "hard" card shows up. I would call if you didn't get a temp(paper) card.

You do not receive the "tote" on resales as these are items given when the contract was originally sold.

There should be temp cards and if not, the ones you pickup onsite will suffice. Yes, it does take longer to receive the permanent plastic cards when you have purchased resale.

We receieved our tote and package immediately. A few weeks later we had our temp cards. Last week we received our blue hard card. (All together about 2 months) I couldn't wait to get it, however did not need it to book anything. We ordered annual passes and Disney Dining without it. I was very disappointed when I went to the local mall's Disney Store and wanted to use the card to get a discount. The Disney Store said that they were NOT Disney owned and that I could not use my DVC towards any saving. Oh well, didn't stop ME from buying

If you have a Disney Visa I think it will give you a 20% discount on the Dive Quest Program. I used it to pay for my DGDs tour in Dec and the price went from $140 to $112. I called WDW tours and asked which would give me the best discount and that was the one.

As others have posted, I received my temp cards with the welcom package and original paperwork that needed to be signed and returned. It was inside the blue folder in a plastic pocket. I am supposed to receive my PIN in a separate mailing. I have not yet received that yet.
