DVC Membership card required for Aulani's pool?

We're going to Aulani IN ONE WEEK (HAPPY DANCE)!!! I have the DVC app and so far I am always the only one to access the website for reservations & plans etc. DH basically just comes along for the ride. I have the digital card on my phone but DH does not. Is there any reason he would need one (i.e. to get a pool wristband etc)? He thinks that's nonsense but so I'm just double checking. Also should we bring magic bands?? THX

You just need to show your room card to get the daily wristbands for the pool. You'll need your digital card for any DVC discounts.

Our magic bands didn't work when we went last year.

Magic bands do seem to work for some people, but maybe it’s glitchy.

if you have the DVC direct card you can get a sparkly wristband
