As a DVC member, I think member services offers a ride from the airport. Has anyone used this service? If so, what was the cost, what kind of vehicle. . .bus, car, etc? Were there any problems with timing? Were they there on time. Did they meet you at baggage claim. Was there a grocery stop?

OK. . .enough questions for now. Thanks for your help.

I have never heard of this service. Where did you hear about it? Are you sure you're not thinking about one of the private car services that you pay for that brings you to your hotel?

DVC has never provided transportation from the airport. There is usually a coupon for $3 off Mears included with your confirmation.

Mears is the "official" provider of Disney transportation. As Pam noted, the Mears discount coupon is included with DVC reservations, but DVC itself does not provide transportation. Mears does not offer a grocery stop.

Most of the towncar companies do offer a free 30 minute grocery stop. FL Tours is an advertiser for this site and does offer the grocery stop. Information about transportation services may be found on the Transportation Board.

Enjoy!

I called member services and they offer what they call "preferred guest" transportation. They quoted a price, but it has been a while ago that I called. I am going to call again and get this info. When we signed up for DVC, I remember this was mentioned as part of the "selling" pitch. DVC would provide transporation to and from the airport for a fee. Let me call and I will let you know what I found out.

I believe MS uses Mear's towncar service for the airport pickups. Last time I checked it was a more than the other towncar services. We use Cartier Towncar.
