All you DVCers are you going to join RCI so you can bank your week and exchange it for somewhere else or not? Thanks!!

Uless things have changed, we, as members, can not join RCI as individuals. It is a corporate Membership, only DVC is the actual members, all bookings have to go through Member Services.

It would have to be a very special reason for me to book something from RCI using our DVC points We went skiing in New Hampshire, all family trip, about 8 years ago, and the hotel we stayed at was an RCI member. We were not members or owners of a timeshare, we just picked the place because you could ski in/out. The hotel/services didn't impress us at all and it was RCI.

Agreeing with Chuck's post above. I can't vote in your poll as we already have an RCI membership through other timeshare; have two exchanges booked for 2009: a 2BR unit on Kauai next month and a 2BR unit in Carlsbad, CA over Memorial Day. I'm hoping RCI will grant my request for exchange into DVC as I've done through II before. :bitelip:

Ahhhh, I see. I was on the phone with RCI and the way he explained it you all had to get your own RCI membership and bank your points for other RCI (Non-DVCers) to be able to exchange into Disney.

I thought well thats another kick in the pants if you are a DVCer!! There membership is not cheap IMNSHO.
