DVC members can only get the Dining plan if..

you are using your points right? We are going to do a weekend stay at a value resort before checking in and using points. We have already added on the DDP to our DVC stay. Are we allowed to add on the DDP to our stay in a value resort? I think the answer is probably no, but just checking. I am just trying to get all our our reservations for hotel and ADR's down. On another board, someone said I could if we are buying park hopper tickets, but we don't qualify for that because we have annual passes already. Thanks for all your help.

DVC points cannot be used for a stay at Value Resorts. The dining plan is available only for point reservations at DVC resorts. (I'm not aware of any availablilty for cash reservations at DVC resorts).

If you will be staying at a Value Resort, you will need to reserve that thru CRO and the dining plan will be based on the requirements for that stay (probably tied to a MYW tickert requirement). The dining plan may be reserved thru MS for your DVC stay after April 1.

We were able to book the dining plan for a cash ressie (w/member discount) for our trip. We are paying cash for our first night at BWV for a 2-bedroom, and then paying cash for the last two nights at VWL for a 2-bedroom (points stay for weekdays in-between) - and were allowed to add the dining plan.

Member cash discounted rooms come from the points inventory, so DVC rules apply, including limited housekeeping.

I just booked a 2 bedroom for 5 days with 2 of them being a fri - sat. How do I find how to get the cash price with the member discount? I have looked all over for it and I can't find it. This is for VWL in Oct. This is my first ressie.

You'll need to call MS to reserve if you want the 25% DVC discount. The discount is not always available, but they will apply it if possible.

You can also make cash reservations thru CRO, but the dining plan won't be available thru DVC for those and you might also need to change rooms during the stay.

The member discount is available when MS is convinced the room won't be needed for point reservations- weekends are the best bet to get the cash member discount.

We'll be checking in on Sun. This is our first time using the DDP. They said something about vouchers, but I've seen other info. where the points are put on the ktw card. Have any DVCers used the DDP? What was your experience?
