DVC MEMBER SERVICES VERY BUSY TODAY,

The only thing that comes to mind is that the Wine and Dine half marathon tickets (and 10K, 5K, etc.) went on sale today. Maybe folks wanted to see if they got into race before booking rooms for the race weekend. I know that's what my (non-DVC) friend is doing; she is renting points from David's. So maybe a lot of folks are checking availablity.
 
In my calls during the past 2 months or so it's been common to have waits of 10-20 minutes again. I'd guess that in part it has to do with the 7 month booking window for the most popular times of the year for DVC.
 
i suspect part of it was the online booking was erratic today. when I would look (still trying to add days in the fall), at times the online worked, other times it was down.
 

25 minutes is normal every time I have called. I was on the phone with them for an hour today though. They did have a disclaimer that wit times were longer than normal today.
 
I also got the 25 min wait. The CM who helped was very nice and did not seem like she was trying to get rid of me. As we were saying goodbye, I told her in spite of MS being very busy, I didn't feel as I was being rush nor did she sound frazzled. She thanked me and told about the program starting April 1, that you can go and contact the same CM if you wish. She gave me her extension to use next time.
 
I sent an email to add some people to an upcoming reservation at 11PM last night, and received a response when they completed my request at 9:30AM this morning. Since they say it takes "up to five days" to respond, I'd say they aren't very busy today.
 
The program to contact the same CM trip adviser is already in place! I was booking Aulani exactly 7 months out and there were issues with their computer system. ( This was the morning after some member website downtime.) To make a long story short I have been able to contact the same adviser several times. She gave me her extension and work schedule. It was great not having to explain my issue to a different CM each time. I love MS they are always so helpful. I think that the MS supervisors and IS folks probably never want to hear my name again. And I always wait to answer the post survey questions. This time I also went online to leave some additional remarks and positive feedback.:)
 
So, instead of commenting on a new post from today (calling MS today), you comment on an old post from 1.5 years ago.

LOL! Not sure if you were being a jerk or not, but I searched DVC member services thread and this was the first that popped up. Guess I should have actually looked at the dates! Anyway, still busy! Guessing the hurricane is sending everyone into a panic (well deserved)!
 
Yeah. I suspect Disney scrambled staff to deal with it on all lines, but there's still a limit to the scramble.
