DVC Member Dues System down until November 12th....

The Disney Vacation Club Member Annual Dues Payment System will be unavailable online on the following dates:

•November 7, 2013, 5:00 PM ET - November 12, 2013, 9:00 AM ET

Seriously? 5 days? For what? Don't they have a backup system? Oh...I guess their backup system is to call them.

Considering I do not pay my dues until February, this shut down has exactly zero impact on me, even though it seems very amateur of Disney to shut it down for 5 days.

I would guess that this has something more to do with accounting dates than technology issues, but I am not a CPA, so this is a guess.

I don't recall DVC shutting down that system in any prior year.

Maybe they are going to add the functionality to use gift cards to pay dues. That would be great.

That's weird because they just sent out the VGF 2013 bills so you would think they would want people to pay those.
