Many here, including me, have both on one card. I am not sure they can be combined after the fact, as we gave the code when we first applied for the card.

I used the card and got 1% of my DVC purchase, not too bad considering if I just wrote a check I wouldn't have any "extra" money to spend when I got to Disney. I called Member Services Accounting and gave them my account number. I had a GM card too but was tired of having to only buy GM and I felt obligated to use the money because it was there. I'm always planning a Disney trip so I buy my plane tickets for my entire family as well as park tickets, etc. and with the DVC purchase I have well over $300 for my next trip, not too bad if you ask me. And as was stated above if you need to call Bank One for any help they are extremely knowledgeable about their product which is more than I can say for some other cards I also carry.

The "Member since Day 1" and "Disney Vacation Club" designations are in different places so there was no problem getting both. I'd be surprised if one could have the DVC embossing added retroactively, and so far there hasn't been any practical benefit from it.
