Has anyone heard anything about when another DVC Member cruise will be?

I know that there is one October 22-26, 2006, but anyone know about the next one??

Thanks!
D

They announced this one on the last one. That's what I'm betting, that they do the same again!

When they asked for hands in the audience to show who was going to go on this one in '06, more hands went up than didn't, not us, we can't take off during the school year.

Last year they announced the 2006 member cruise on the 2005 cruise.

They have not announced a 2007 member cruise yet.

Hate to sound ignorant (but that usually doesn't stop me from doing so....),

but what's the difference between a DVC member cruise vs. a regular cruise?

a member cruise is members only. Also there have been special gifts and guests:

2003 we had an invitation to join the collectors society and also get limited pins
There were also other limited pins and a steamboat willie teapot
Guests: Don "Ducky" Williams, Andrea McArdle, Tom Acomb

2005: special pins, a towel, and other stuff
Guests:Art Linkletter, Jim Lewis, Disney Ambassador Christopher White, Chef Gordon from HH, Don "Ducky" Williams and Susan Egan

I read somewhere that there was a price difference for the member cruise. Can you tell us about how much per category? I might be interested in next years, but I'd like to know how much more it will be than the regular cruise. Also how many nights is it for?
Thanks in advance :cool1:

The Member Cruise is a 4 night cruise. The itinerary for last year's was Key West and Castaway Cay.

For 2006, the only port is Castaway Cay twice. 2006 is DVC's 15th Anniversary, so I am hoping for a really special cruise.

We thought last years cruise was AWESOME and worth the premium. This year was even more, so I am going but my family is not. We already booked the September cruise so we stuck with that 7 day itinerary and I will go with a Dis friend on the Member Cruise.

As far as price, there is a list of prices on the link provided. Our 7 day in a Cat 9 this Sept. was $875 per adult (booked 2 years in advance). The October Member Cruise 4 day same cat was $1000 per adult. I thought it was totally worth it last year, this year I have great expectations also. :wizard:

Definitely visit Mark and Mary's site, they have the most info for the DVC Member Cruises. It's easy to navigate also.

As for prices, it depeds on the season/dates of next years cruise.

For 2003 cat 11 for 2 people it was 176 points

for 2005 cat 11 for 2 people it was 230 points

For 2006 cat 11 for 1 person 129 and then $1008 cash
