When will we be able to make ressie's for the October 2006 cruise? Any word yet?

December 3 will be the call in day. No idea yet on points or anything else. We are all waiting for this information. Annmarie

At least the web site doesn't say that at least one member must cruise on points (which one of the rumors said was going to happen) since that might have been a deal breaker for us.

Here's the itinerary from the Member site:

Sunday: Set sail from Port Canaveral, Florida
Monday: Arrive at Castaway Cay, a Disney island paradise
Tuesday: Experience Member-exclusive events during a full day at sea
Wednesday: Return to Castaway Cay
Thursday: Return to Port Canaveral

Probably never will, with the price of airfare it seems a waste to fly down for a 4 day cruise, why don't they make it a seven day, An do a special itinery as a bonus for being a DVC member. We need to get a little variety.

A 7 day would be nice, but we plan on making our vacation 7 days anyway....we're going to WDW after we get off the ship for a couple of days.

Well... this is special itineary. I just don't see the 7 day pulling as many folks especially since they have a nice mark up on this cruise!

I like the itinerary for this cruise. We would stay at WDW for a few days after the cruise. Annmarie

Haven't seen this mentioned, it's on the members web site for the 2006 cruise:

The Vista Spa and Salon is being expanded and will not be available during this sailing. Most fitness equipment will be available in an alternate location for your convenience.

Between this and no port, besides Castaway Cay, the wife is not too happy. Looks more and more like it will be a take a pass on this cruise. :guilty:

I little further info. I called DCL to get the story. The CM said that the Wonder would be in dry dock the first two weeks in October 2006 (guess that's why no 3 or 4 day cruises are available then). They would be redoing the spa to add the changes that they just did on the Magic. Those changes took two additional weeks after dry dock to complete so the Wonder follows the same schedule then 10/29 would be the first cruise where the spa was open again. Just thought I would pass on what I found out.

I have to say that I was thinking of taking this one, but we get a day at sea with no spa? Plus I don't think the boyfriend is going to be happy with no port call besides Castaway Cay... I may give this one a pass too.

I'm sure that the cruise pricing will reflect the lack of shipboard ammenities...I mean DCL/DVC is not going to take members for granted...Right? :confused3

I wonder how quiet the adult pool area will be? :badpc:

It won't really matter, the cruise will sell out as many members love the concept so much that they will pay whatever it takes for the experience. We will further consider the itinerary and wait for the pricing before we make decision.
