One idea that I have to enhance the DVC Member Website is on the Booking Tool. i.g. When you are looking at the calendar for a room. It currently shows the date (green arrow), the number of points needed for that room on that date (purple arrow). I would LOVE to see the number of rooms of that type (red circle), at that resort, on that date, that are available to book. That would take some guesswork out of booking and may help prevent some walking issues.

Love that idea

It's a great idea, but I don't think they'll do it. Knowledge is power and they don't really want members to have exact information about demand for each day. Members might collect data and the demand reallocations they don't want to do. For example, the first two weeks of December are still in a low point season even if they are by far the busiest weeks in the DVC system, because they've sold a lot of fixed weeks. If they reallocate over 10% than the original point chart, the extra points needed for the reservations would have to come out of DVD pockets, which is a loss for Disney.

would love to see that! also, when you wait list it would be VERY helpful to know where you are on the list. If far down on the list one could make other plans....

This was my first and biggest question when I became a member.

It wouldn't really be possible to know where on a waitlist you happen to be. You could make a 7 night waitlist before anyone else but only 6 nights show up. People that made shorter requests in those 6 nights would get them even though they made their request later. With all the possible outcomes based on when a request was made, how many nights, what happens to open up, etc it wouldn't really work.

How would that information change your decision making process? Honestly, I think it just adds complication and provides very little value, so it would diminish the Disney experience, not enhance it.

I'm sitting here thinking of a low inventory indicator, like if the numbers turned yellow when there's 2 or less rooms left. But I'm also thinking about how that would probably just influence many people to grab the dates before they're gone and cause more problems, like with dining reservations. Companies use that sort of psychology on us all the time.

I’d like the ability to:
Choose the room type ie.standard, preferred, garden/pool, savanna, etc in the search so every single room in every “view”doesn’t come up.
I’d also like to toggle between modifying and booking separately without going back to the beginning.

It used to be that way where you chose the view. I much prefer it this way
