DVC Member Booking non DVC room?

Hi All,

Please forgive what is probably a silly question; I'm still fairly new at the DVC situation.
We were looking at the (horrible shortage of) direct flights back from our August trip and are thinking we may tack one additional day at a moderate resort. (I'd rather spend money on a room than a flight!)
Is there any benefit from booking this one night stay through member services, or should I just do it online?
We are also APH, if that matters.

Nope.

You may be able get an AP discount on a mod room doing it online.

Just adding that if you do a cash reservation for a moderate and have a car, you will be charged for parking at the moderate resort.

You actually can't book the moderate on cash thru member services (at least not that I'm aware of). They can do DVC resort cash bookings but other non-DVC resort cash bookings are thru the Disney hotel reservation system.
