DVC MEMBER and Disney Visa

Please help if anyone can--

I got my Disney Visa before purchasing DVC. I remember seeing a few posts about having DVC member on the cards. ( I think)

Anyway--besides actually having the member thing on the card are there any additional benefits to being a member in relation to the card??

Sorry if this was already covered but just was curious if I need to bother chaniging my account to DVC member!

As far as I know there are no additional benefits. Our card has DVC Member on it and Member since Day 1, but there aren't any other benefits.
Enjoy earning those Disney reward dollars!

Sorry, NO additional benefits to being a DVC member and a card holder. I guess just recognition when you use the card at a Disney store or resort.

Under your name, they print out in all caps:

DISNEY VACATION CLUB

It doesn't say "member" on it.

I'm not a DVC Member yet, but the Wife & I are leaning heavily.
I know that you can
1. Earn Disney Dollars on the Disney Visa
2. Get 6 months interest free for your vacation
3. Get discounts on vacation packages

My question is this;
What does the Disney Visa do for DVC Members?

So far, the only benefit for DVC members is accumulating the Disney Dollars. As DVC members, only the LOS/UMP pass is discounted. That doesn't work for most of us so the $$$ back could be used toward tickets.

Does anyone know if the Disney Visa is offering free financing for ALL purchases the 1st 6 months? I understood it that is you used your Visa to book Disney trips, you paid no interest, but I have only used mine for regular purchases, and in the 3 statements I have gotten, $0.00 shows up under "finance charge" Not complaining, just confused.

One thing I have read as an "advantage" to having DVC on your VISA is, when you use the card to pay for food at WDW, if you forget to show your regular DVC card, the waiters will pick up your association on your VISA and give you any applicable discount at that location.

My understanding on the financing is that if you use your VISA card to book a WDW Package, you have 6 months, interest free, to pay it out.

The original promotion was 0% for 6 months (all purchases). It sounds like you got yours under that promotion. It's probably no longer offered, but I haven't checked.
