DVC Meal Plan/Ticket Purchase

I just booked a ressie at BWV for April and am wondering if I have to purchase my park tickets through Disney in order to get the meal plan. Can I purchase tickets through AAA or a discount broker and still ask the DVC owner to book the meal plan??

You can purchase your tickets elsewhere. You just have to have the owner call member services 48-72 hrs in advance of check-in and have the dining plan added. You then pay for the dining plan upon check-in

When staying at DVC on points, you don't have to have any tickets to get the meal plan.
