DVC magic for first trip home

Does anyone know if DVC does anything special when you come home the first time?

For exams on the cruise we got hats, pins, bags, etc. Should I expect anything at WDW.

No.

If you attend a Welcome Home Wednesday (at Atlantic Dance) on the Boardwalk, you will probably get a DVC baseball hat.

I am on my first trip back right now. No feebies on land . On the cruise they couldn't stop giving us stuff lol .

In our case, no, nothing special on our first stay other than a very sincere "Welcome home" from the front desk CM at WL. We were so excited to stay at VWL for the first time, that was enough for us. (Even though we had walked around the magnificent lobby at WL once before, it was a different feeling for us actually checking in for a stay there!)

When we did an 8 day DCL cruise we only got freebies from DVC. I don't believe we received anything from DCL. We did get a welcome gift from our TA.

And now that you are a DVC member, unlike other timeshares, DVC does not harass you to buy more points. So like LisaS said unless you attend the DVC sponsored activities (Welcome Home Wednesdays or one of the mingles at some of the resorts), you don't get freebies.
