We are renting a DVC at Polynesian. We are not getting the dining plan for the first time. We will have our 9 year old and 2 year old daughters with us.

What do you get in the kitchen?
We are prime members so will do the prime delivery and get:
Breakfast foods:
Milk
Orange Juice
bottled waters
K-cups for keurig (do they have a keurig in the rooms)
disposable coffee cups with lids to bring the drinks to quick service café in morning
cereal
whole fruits and fruit cups
Bagels
Cream cheese
yogurt

This will get us through some of the breakfast foods. My DH likes breakfast food while on vacation since we don't eat it often at home eg. pancakes, waffles, omelets.
So whatever we buy for breakfast we will have as our sides or for the kids and get a couple meals for the 4 of us to split most mornings.

snacks:
string cheese
vegetables (our little one loves vegetables for snacks. older one, not so much!)
pretzels
goldfish
peanut butter and crackers

lunch foods:
bread
cold cuts
wraps and shredded cheese to make quesadillas
We will probably only have small snacks mid day. We may buy a burger or something but nothing huge. I'd like to have a bunch of snacks though to hold the kids over. We will definitely be getting ice cream of dole whips each day as a special treat at whatever park we are in.

dinner:
We will be paying OOP for 3 sit downs. The rest of the time will be a quick service at which park we are at as most nights we won't be at the resort.
I was thinking of buying a box of pasta and sauce just in case for the kids in case we eat at Poly before going out to the parks for the night. Our youngest doesn't care what she eats and the other will pick off our meals if she wants more or we will get her a special snack.

What does everyone think?
Is there anything I didn't think of?
Any quick foods that don't require a lot of cooking I can add?

What does everyone bring to pack food for the parks? I normally only have dry snacks that we put in our backpack but now that I have access to a fridge/freezer...

Thanks for the help!!

Just a couple of notes....no Keurigs, and just watch that you don't get too much stuff that needs to be refrigerated because they are just small fridges in the studios.

Thanks, good to know. So the fridges are like all other resorts rooms?
Do they have anything other than a drip coffee pot for coffee?
How big are the freezers?

Can I fit a carton of milk, 32oz yogurt, string cheese and orange juice and some cold cuts?

I think there are small variations between fridges at resorts depending on when they have been replaced but yes, just the small bar fridge type (regular size fridges are only in 1 BR and larger rooms). And just a drip coffee maker.

as well as having a mini-frig (most do not have a freezer compartment), studios have a toaster, microwave, & drip coffeemaker (flat bottom paper filters).
I would suggest bring a small collapsible cooler, rotating water bottles from fridge to cooler so you can have a more steady supply of water bottles without filling up the fridge. You can also buy some groceries, including dairy/frozen at the resort. While they are a bit more expensive, the items wouldn't be taking up precious fridge room until you need/buy them.

Here is a couple of photos showing the mini-fridge in a PVB studio.

The wire shelving is moveable so you can adjust it for larger items. On the door, a half gallon of milk fits in the bottom slot where it curves out.

I agree with the others, don't over do it on the snacks, unless you are thinking of taking the leftovers home on the plane.

Thanks everyone.
I’m staying in a studio
That fridge is the same as our AKL one which we were able to fit milk, yogurt, cheese sticks and fruit which is good.
We will be at wdw 9 days but first two are at AoA so we probably won’t purchase much until the day we get to poly.
2017 we had to do 3 prime orders because we constantly ran out but our little one was 12 months so she was consuming 24 oz of milk a day. How she drinks half that so we won’t need to keep ordering.
I think we will just do cheese and wraps for quesadillas and forget about cold cuts, do a 12 pack of cheese sticks, one bag of pretzels and goldfish and maybe do 2 12 packs of yogurt cups. Should be enough.

Also remember that coffee filters aren't provided (they will have some pre-made coffee packets, but only 1 or 2 I think). So don't forget to pack coffee filters as well as coffee. (Said by someone who always manages to forget coffee filters....)

If the kids eat Mac and cheese, I would get the single serve microwave pouches instead of a box of pasta and sauce. That won't be easy to do in the microwave. We keep a small skillet in our owners locker and have made everything from eggs to veggie burgers in a studio :) As far as in the parks, we usually take some type of trail mix, fruit leather, cliff bars, goldfish and I make PB and J on a tortilla because it seems to hold up better than bread.

paper towels make great coffee filters in a pinch :)

I was able to make some scrambled eggs in the microwave using the paper bowls. I threw in some precooked bacon and topped with cheddar and it tasted pretty good, but it was a little messy.

If you might want to do eggs for breakfast, I just recently discovered Just Crack an Egg by Ore Ida.

They are actually pretty good. Also, not sure if your kids like them, but I just stock up on the Smuckers Uncrustables.

These are extremely handy items to have in a studio. All microwaveable!

I use prime NOW as well, and get similar items. Cereal, fresh blueberries and raspberries, bananas, milk, butter or cream cheese, english muffins, bread, ham, cheese, mayo, coffee and water. I have plenty of filters, so I just pack those in my suitcase along with a small bottle of laundry detergent from Dollar Tree (placed inside a Ziplock bag in case of leaks).

We bring Tide Pods for laundry in the suitcase. Bring some chip clips and ziplock bags for the snacks.

I like the Deluxe mac and cheese cups, we split a can a tuna between two for an adult meal with a salad.
